Kim runs a very helpful small business. She has good prices and is open and safely accommodating during Covid. Many sod types are growing out front of her shop to help get a hands on feel for your project. Kim answered all my nagging phone calls about yard prep to make sure I was ready for the delivery (sorry, thanks Kim!). Sod was delivered the two days after I ordered (would have been next day, but I called late on the day of order) at 330am (before it gets hot.) Will use again if I ever need more sod and will recommend to everyone.

This company has the wrong location and the pictures don’t match their work. I’m appalled at how poorly this business is run. Is this a joke? Read on for why. First off, they had to have gotten help for verification because they have put a real front up. The initial sight is a run down establishment covered with trash, broken wood pieces everywhere, along with garbage bins filled with bags of cans and glass. I could see the office staff was busy at work scrolling on their phones while walking around tents set up around the premises but this place has supposedly been around for decades so I give it a shot. I have a feeling the “staff” are homeless squatters because in addition to scrolling instead of working and casing tents, the smell of urine was pungent along with poor hygiene, teeth, clothing, and completely unprofessional behavior. In retrospect, this business is clearly closed and non-operational but says “OPEN.” I thought the mess was just because of the area so I knock, wait, knock again and all I hear is someone YELL something out and the side gate opens. I walk in and a bunch of people come out of thin air and head in with me past the gate. I walk in and there was people hiding in cars, vans, sheds, tents, and behind a large pile of garbage. I proceed to walk in and then proceed to ask who I thought was the manager or boss if this still was the sod shop and he said yes then said “I’m Jasum, I run this place.” Then, he offered to help me and said “Sorry for the mess, we’re cleaning up an old job site.” It didn’t make any sense but he then walked me to an old office and unlocked the front door and invited me in. It all initially felt really off but Jasum told me he could get me whatever sod I needed “cheap and fast.” Instantly I was pressured into talking about the lowest rated sod and blatantly asked what my budget was. At this point, I don’t really know where to start so I tell him it’s multiple areas and some areas need additional prep work. Then he tells me that he can get me better deals with larger amounts and asked what’s the maximum amount I would need. I tried to ask him a couple simple questions about prepping my lawn and he became very frustrated telling me he was never told he had to remember any specifics (referring to my questions about soil and the different grass types). He said all he does is “just give pricing.” It felt like I was interrupting something the wrong whole time I was there and things felt very off so I told him I would do more research before making a choice. He tells me he could beat anyone’s price and they are only currently accepting cash and credit cards so I “better” have one or the other. The situation kept getting worse and now I’m nervous I’m inside the gates with a pushy employee. I asked for a written quote before leaving but nothing was set up in the place for it to possibly be a functional office and the guy blatantly refused to give a quote. He kept repeating they just do “cash or credit card.” Everything was disorganized and piled up, dusty and most of the stuff seemed unused. I am almost convinced that this is some kind of scam or squatters have taken over if this was even ever a business. Does anybody have an actual quote or receipt from this business? I’m still shocked at how sketchy and deliberately unprofessional these people were. I double checked the address on maps and sure enough even from the satellite images this place has been trashed for a while.

I called The Sod Shop to get an idea of the costs and process for installing a lawn. They were incredibly patient and knowledgable about different grass varieties, soil conditions, irrigation, drought tolerance, and installation. It was really a lot more than I could have expected. The customer service was incredible and if we end up getting sod, this is definitely the place we'll go!

The sod I got from them only the first 2 layers of sod was good the rest of the sod was junk I will never use them for anything ever again I don’t like being ripped off and who ever else is looking for sod get it somewhere else some one who will stand by what they sell

Nothing but praise for Kim and her operation. She provides terrific service, the best sod available that is cut the same day it's delivered, and it's delivered to your door for a price less than what Home Depot charges for a half-dead pallet.
